Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)

“I value building meaningful relationships with each child, giving them the best opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. ”

I’ve always known I wanted to become a teacher. After completing my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood, I spent three years teaching in primary schools before moving into early childhood education in 2024. I began as an Early Childhood Teacher, progressed to Assistant Centre Manager, and later joined Buggles Beldon as Centre Manager at the end of 2024.
What I love most about early education is watching children grow and flourish through play-based learning. I value building meaningful relationships with each child, giving them the best opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Every child is unique, and I believe in adapting my teaching to suit their individual needs and learning styles.
I believe attending an early childhood education and care centre provides children with experiences they can’t always get at home - forming friendships, developing confidence, learning to collaborate, and building resilience for school and beyond. These experiences help shape independent, capable, and curious learners.
At Buggles Beldon, I’m proud to lead a diverse team of passionate educators who bring a wide range of knowledge and experience to our centre. With several qualified Early Childhood Teachers on board, we work collaboratively to create and deliver individualised, high-quality programs for every child.
Since joining the team, I’ve focused on creating a home-like, welcoming environment for our children and families. I believe strong, personal relationships are at the heart of a great early learning community, and that’s what we’re building here every day.
We look forward to welcoming your family to our Beldon early education centre.

## Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Beldon, our experienced educators and teachers continually seek innovative ways to enrich your child’s education. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, we offer a variety of engaging and diverse learning experiences, including:

#### Sustainability

Our centre fosters sustainability through hands-on experiences like maintaining a thriving vegetable patch, a worm farm, and caring for chickens. These activities teach children about the importance of sustainable practices and provide them with a direct connection to nature. By engaging with these elements, children learn valuable lessons in responsibility and protecting the environment.

#### Inclusion

We create a sense of belonging for your child to ensure they feel heard and empowered to make choices, fostering their independence. We celebrate each child's unique strengths, helping them to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

#### Music and movement

Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. It is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood.

#### STEM

We encourage your child to ask questions, experiment, and problem-solve, all while engaging their natural curiosity. By fostering this inquisitive mindset, we help them develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

My son Eli has attended Buggles Beldon since he was 10 months old and is now 4 years old. Over the years, the educators and staff including his current educators Lisa, Bhaway and Dorji have become such an important part of his early childhood journey. They have always provided a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where he has been able to grow in confidence, make friendships, and develop new skills.

The educators genuinely care about the children and take the time to get to know each child’s individual personality and needs. The communication with families is excellent, and I have always felt comfortable and reassured knowing Eli is in their care. ❤️

Our family has been with Buggles Beldon since 2022. My eldest son is quite reserved, but the educators have been amazing at building wonderful connections with him and helping him grow in confidence. The staff were also incredibly supportive when it came time to enrol him into kindy. We’ve had such a great experience that I plan on sending my younger son here too!

I am the proud father of two boys who are absolutely thrilled to call Buggles Beldon their kindy.

After moving back to WA, we faced the challenge of finding a childcare centre that could match the fantastic experience we had in QLD.

I toured multiple centres in the area, but as soon as I stepped into Buggles Beldon, I knew it was the one for us. From the warm welcome by Centre Manager and her incredible team. From the well-equipped facilities, to the well thought out and engaging curriculum and an in-house chef preparing nutritious meals, it ticked all the boxes and felt right.

Since being a part of the Buggles Beldon family it has exceeded all expectations. They operate with a strong culture of continuous improvement, consistently investing time, resources, and training to enhance both the centre and the quality of care and education they provide.

I remember running into the centre manager and an educator on the Bunnings escalator before Christmas; I asked what they were up to, and it turned out they were getting arts are craft supplies for Buggles. Next thing you know our eldest brings home a succulent in a little pot plant with Santa painted on it. For me that shows the level of dedication to the cause.

As a FIFO worker and my partner working full time, having a childcare centre we can trust makes all the difference.

The team at Buggles Beldon not only support my children’s development but also offer reassurance and flexibility that truly ease the challenges of balancing work and family life.

They offer ample educator and parent correspondence and put on events such as graduations, birthdays and Christmas parties with Santa and the whole shabang!

Their easy-to-use Xplor app keeps us updated throughout the day, so even when I’m deep into a demanding work shift, I can still get a notification that my youngest just enjoyed fruit and toast for morning tea; it’s the little things that bring peace of mind!

The staff at Buggles Beldon are simply outstanding.
Their diverse experience and genuine passion for childcare shine through in everything they do.

They’re attentive, compassionate, and always open to parent feedback, tailoring their approach to align with our values and expectations.

Our boys adore them and feel completely at home, which speaks volumes about the sense of security and belonging they foster.

At Buggles Beldon, your children will learn through play, embrace Indigenous Australian cultural values, enjoy nutritious meals, and, most importantly, receive the highest level of care!

It’s a place where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn and as a parent, that’s all you can ask for!

Buggles Beldon offer a best in class experience and I couldn’t recommend more highly.

## Frequently asked questions

##

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. [Click here to book a tour online.](/book-a-tour)

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

##

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

[Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.](/family-information/how-to-enrol)

##

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

[Learn more about our Settling-in Program.](/family-information/settling-in-program)

##

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

##

Buggles uses Xplor Home as our [family communication app](/family-information/family-communication). It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

##

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Buggles is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
